Described as an art movement, Figuro Abstro is a creative collective founded by Senegalese artists Art’lioune, Kon-T and Manel Ndoye. Painters with three very distinct styles and themes, they use a variety of techniques to push conceptual boundaries about culture, play and music.

In Figuro Abstro: Sink or Swim, their offering for the 2014 edition of the Dak’Art biennial, they will exhibit both new and previous works that tell stories of growth, movement and following the only road available – passion. With both a systematic and organic method for creating, Figuro Abstro uses their passions to define art and community in their own way, on their own terms.
